Overview
Description
This masterclass builds genuine working capability with Microsoft 365 Copilot across four weeks, one capability per session, each consolidated by a weekly deliverable you create from your own material.
Week 1, Copilot foundational overview. Learn the prompting principles that make Copilot reliable and how it grounds responses in your work data across Copilot Chat, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. You turn a real document into a structured, decision-ready briefing and start a saved prompt playbook.
Week 2, agents. Package repeatable know-how and team standards as a custom agent using agent builder, with Copilot Studio introduced for agents that need actions and wider deployment. You build, test and share a role-specific agent of your own.
Week 3, Notebooks. Curate real project materials in a Copilot Notebook so outputs are grounded in the sources you choose, then generate a polished, decision-ready deliverable from them.
Week 4, the summative team project. Teams act as a fictional company and produce its materials end to end, combining Copilot Chat, agents and Notebooks into one connected workflow, presented in a closing showcase with cross-team peer review.
By the end of the masterclass you will be able to prompt and synthesise with confidence across Microsoft 365, systematise work with agents, ground work in knowledge with Notebooks, and deliver end to end as a team, responsibly.
The course is taught through task-based instruction with groupwork and a flipped classroom, so sessions are spent doing, not watching. Support is scaffolded early and faded across the weeks, moving you from guided to independent use. Assessment is continuous: weekly deliverables, in-session peer review, and the team project that draws the four outcomes together. GDPR and cybersecurity good practice run through every session.
Who is this course for?
This course is for busy professionals working in Microsoft 365 who want Copilot to do real work, not just answer questions. It suits knowledge workers in any role or sector, from analysts and consultants to marketers, operations managers and team leads, as well as leaders who want to model confident, responsible AI use. No technical background is needed. Because every task is applied to your own documents, emails and meetings, participants from mixed roles and confidence levels progress side by side, and teams attending together leave with shared agents, Notebooks and workflows they can adopt immediately.
Requirements
A Microsoft 365 Copilot licence with access to Copilot Chat, agent builder and Notebooks, a laptop with a stable internet connection for the live online sessions, and a real recurring task plus sanitised project materials to work on. No coding experience is required. Client and personal data must be sanitised in line with GDPR good practice.
Career path
Graduates become the AI-capable professionals their teams turn to: able to design and run Copilot-powered workflows across Microsoft 365, build and share agents for their team, act as an AI champion or capability lead, and take on roles where AI-enabled productivity and responsible adoption are core, from operations and delivery through to AI enablement roles.
