Description

Modern cloud-native systems are built from many technologies, patterns and platforms. Understanding each component individually is not enough: architects and engineers need to understand how the pieces fit together and which trade-offs their design decisions introduce.

This practical, vendor-neutral one-day training provides an end-to-end view of cloud-native architecture without requiring programming.

You will learn:

• Cloud-native fundamentals, including stateless design, immutability, automation and scalability
• Modern API design using REST, OpenAPI, API contracts, versioning and governance
• Microservices architecture, domain-driven design (DDD) and bounded contexts
• Event-driven architecture (EDA), messaging, streaming and asynchronous communication
• Containers, Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals
• Platform design using service discovery, API gateways and service mesh
• Reliability patterns including timeouts, retries and circuit breakers
• Monitoring, logging, tracing and observability in distributed systems
• Cloud-native security including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, mTLS and API security
• DevSecOps practices and security within modern delivery environments
• Platform teams, golden paths, API governance and cloud-native operating models

Throughout the training, the emphasis is on architecture, design decisions and real-world trade-offs rather than writing code.

You will understand how architectural choices affect scalability, flexibility, reliability, security and maintainability, and how modern systems can support independent deployment and team autonomy.

The instructor-led format provides room for questions, discussion and practical examples, helping participants relate cloud-native architecture principles to systems and challenges in their own environment.
