Programme Description

The Aviation Training Excellence Program is a senior-level professional programme designed for experienced aviation instructors, trainers, examiners, and operational personnel with training responsibilities.

The programme focuses on advanced instructional practice, strengthening the effectiveness, consistency, and professionalism of aviation training delivery in safety-critical and regulated environments. It addresses real-world training challenges faced by instructors working with experienced professionals, mixed-competency groups, and multicultural operational settings.

Delivered as four integrated courses, the programme enhances classroom delivery, trainer capability, advanced instructional judgement, and modern interactive training techniques, while maintaining alignment with aviation standards and operational realities.

This programme is suitable for use within ANSPs, airlines, CAAs, training organisations, and military or government aviation environments, and can be delivered in classroom, virtual, or blended formats.

Who This Course Is For

The Aviation Training Excellence Program is designed for experienced aviation professionals who already hold, or are moving into, instructional or training roles.

This programme is suitable for:

• Aviation instructors and trainers

• Air Traffic Controllers involved in training or OJTI roles

• Flight instructors and simulator instructors

• Examiners and assessors

• Training managers and training supervisors

• Safety, quality, or standards personnel with training responsibilities

• Military or government aviation instructors transitioning to civil aviation training environments

The programme is not intended for beginners. It is aimed at operationally experienced personnel who are responsible for delivering, managing, or overseeing aviation training and who wish to enhance their professional instructional practice.

The Aviation Training Excellence Program supports progression into senior instructional and training leadership roles within aviation. Graduates may advance as lead instructors, OJTIs, examiners, assessors, training supervisors, or training managers within ANSPs, airlines, CAAs, and approved training organisations, with pathways into standards, quality, and training governance roles.
